Why does hotmail keep refreshing

View our Welcome Guide to learn how to use this site. MeadowLark9 Thread Starter. Joined Dec 22, Messages I log in to hotmail and it constantly refreshes. I open an email and it refreshes so fast that I can't even read one sentence! So totally frustrated! I've logged out and logged back in. I've tried using Windows IE. I use firefox normally.

Any ideas? I found HiJackThis and downloaded it. Had problems getting it to run. When I rebooted the computer it bluescreened on me. I manually shut it off and restarted in "normal mode. Please help me. A lot of the time, a bad app can be the reason why your iPad screen freezes.

The app may crash when you open it or use it, freezing your iPad. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Press and hold the Top button until your device begins to restart.

Continue holding the Top button until your device goes into recovery mode. If your iPad is frozen and unresponsive, or too sluggish for use, try to force-restart it. You can do this by holding down the home button and the power button at the same time on older iPads for more than ten seconds or through a combination of buttons on an iPad with Face ID. When you see the Apple logo, let go. Strange thing is this comment. I can stop this behaviour by forcing the constant reload to 'Stop'. I right-click, and the 'Stop' option just below the 'Reload' is available.

When I click that, everything is fine. I can recreate this by closing FF, going to Hotmail, clicking on an email so it opens, and it starts reloading over and over and over. Click 'Stop' and all is well until I close either than tab or FF. Then it starts all over again. I think I was just lucky with the 'Reload' and 'Stop' button. It's still doing it when I open any of the emails on the Inbox and those in the folders.

Same behaviour for all emails no matter where they're stored on Hotmail. Thank you for your brilliant reply to this problem.

I was thinking it was a FF problem, and now I know where the blame should go. I get something similar as cannot scroll down on emails without the screen immediately scrolling back. Parts of the screen get blocked for no apparent reason. I just re-tested this odd behaviour in Hotmail using Chrome and IE8. It doesn't happen at all. So I tried FF3. I know that Martin referred me to those URLs but this is very odd. Thanks for your feedback.
